Sudlon Students Win Top Prize at National Agri-Science Fair
By System Administrator
Senior high school researchers bring home the gold with their innovative study on organic fertilizers using locally sourced extracts.
The Sudlon Integrated School community is beaming with pride this week! Our very own Senior High School science team secured the first-place position at the annual Cebu City District Agri-Science Fair held last Friday.
The team presented a groundbreaking project focused on sustainable farming practices. They specifically tested the effects of organic mixtures—including fish amino acids and aloe vera extracts—on the growth of red lettuce, comparing the results directly against traditional inorganic fertilizers. Their research highlighted cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternatives that could directly benefit our local farming families in Sudlon II.
"We are incredibly proud of our students' hard work and dedication," said the School Principal. "They took a real-world challenge faced by our own community and applied the scientific method to find a sustainable solution."
The winning team will now advance to the Regional Science and Technology Fair next month. Let’s all wish them the best of luck as they continue to represent Sudlon Integrated School!
