Sudlon Integrated School Joins the 'F1 in Schools' Challenge
By System Administrator
Our engineering and tech students are designing, manufacturing, and racing miniature Formula 1 cars for the upcoming regional STEM competition.
The roar of the engines might be missing, but the thrill of engineering is alive and well! Sudlon Integrated School is officially participating in the global "F1 in Schools" STEM challenge. This multi-disciplinary program tasks student teams with designing and manufacturing a miniature car out of the official F1 model block using advanced CAD/CAM design tools.
To gain a competitive edge, the team is applying physics, aerodynamics, and project management skills to build the fastest car possible for the 20-meter test track. Beyond just the race, they are also handling sponsorships, branding, and pit display design to simulate a real-world Formula 1 team environment.
"We are applying everything we've learned in our math and technology tracks directly to this project," noted the team's lead designer. "Optimizing the drag coefficient and ensuring the structural integrity of the chassis has been an incredible hands-on challenge."
Stay tuned as the team finalizes their livery and prepares for the first aerodynamic test run next month. Let's go, Sudlon!
